I am a big fan of Clean Master. This started with their Clean Master App that kills running background apps and cleans junk files stored on your device. It also includes an anti-virus, app boost, and app manager features. The only thing is when they came up with new ideas, they created separate apps for them. They made an improvement by having access to all family apps through the settings option of each one.
Then I installed Battery Doctor which uses "trickle" charging. This basically charges your device for a few more minutes after it reaches 100% charge status. Although I am not sure if it works (since I use my device a lot, 24/7 on wi-fi) it is proven that the battery life of your device will last longer using this method.
Another awesome app from the CM family is the CM browser. It is fast loading and have a clean interface. You can also switch tabs by sliding the pages and not by tapping a very small tab on the browser. Unlike other browsers, your previous tabs would not reload when you switch tabs which is why I highly recommend it. Most of us open multiple tabs in a single session and the last thing you want is your previous tab to keep on reloading whenever you go back to it, especially if the page is somewhere that you need be kept logged into. You can access all tabs icon on the lower right portion of the interface then swipe up to close unwanted tabs. Just like other browsers, you can also go incognito (private browsing) mode.
CM Security (anti-virus) is another light-weight, top rated app from the CM family. This is regarded as one of the most reliable anti-virus that is available in the market. It works almost the same way as the Clean Master app and you don't have to install it if you don't want to but it never hurt to put an additional layer of security on your device now, does it?
And finally, the CM launcher. There are multiple selection when it comes to launchers but also have some disadvantages. If your device have high RAM, then you would be okay in installing a heavy, graphic-rich, even 3-dimensional launcher. CM launcher is a lightweight launcher that does not consume a lot of RAM and works pretty well with devices with low memory. Still, it also looks good and does not sacrifice RAM usage for allure.
CM also releases games and other apps but these 4 (four) apps that I have mentioned are the MUST HAVE on your device. Being that they are all lightweight and have great functionalities are the primary reasons for them being the BEST.
All CM apps are completely free.
